Why we do it!
I know from my own experience that getting a good photograph of yourself doing an activity you love is not always easy, if not impossible. That is what we offer on this website, a chance for you to have a great photo of yourself or loved one for a reasonable price.
We attend and photograph an event, post the photos on our website and you view them online the next day.
PLEASE NOTE: Some events photographed will be password protected, for example; youth activities and events, allowing only those attending the event to have access. Other public activities and events are open for viewing by those that were participating the day of the shoot. Photographs of any individuals appearing on this website are intended for those individuals and family members only.
We can attend and photograph any event by invitation. If you would like us to attend your event, please contact us via email. It makes for a GREAT, lasting gift! All prints, except special orders product items, are color corrected and processed by one of the best Labs in the country.
Due to the limitations of this website you are not able to see the true detail and resolution of the final print you will receive.
You can be sure you are buying a quality photograph at a fair price. We hope you enjoy what we offer and visit this site often. History
Photography has been in my blood from a very young age. Interest began during family camping trips in the late 1960's, watching my father take photos with a Kodak Retina 35mm film camera. That Camera was fascinating to me because it could accept many different lenses. Something special back then. Family slide shows were the norm, we just assumed everybody was camera crazy too. We all took photos back then, Kodak was the big name, Instamatics were a new format, black and white was still seen as normal, slides were top drawer.
As interest developed, school courses in photography secured a deep understanding of the technique and science of photography. Later, college photography classes reinforced the desire to make great photographs, travel and see what we could find. Over many years, several areas of interest developed, especially animals and the outdoor lifestyle. I needed rugged and reliable gear. I chose Canon equipment long ago and have been a satisfied loyal customer. I have used Canon photographic equipment exclusively since 1983.
Today is a great time to be a photographer with the development of digital technology. Although a great deal of new technology had to be learned, the basics of a good photograph has not changed. Digital photography has opened many new doors. What was once done in a cramped darkroom is now done on a computer with expensive and elaborate software. Mastering such software has allowed modern photographers to expand our craft at a much faster rate making some techniques more affordable. Technology continues to change and is again fascinating to me.
Geography
Southern California is our turf. We grew up here and lived the California lifestyle, Surfing, Skiing, Camping, Motorcycles, Horseback riding, Hiking, Fishing, Boating- you get the idea. California is a playground. This lifestyle gave us a great foundation and understanding of so many outdoor activities. That understanding comes in very handy when you are trying to capture a photograph for someone participating in an event or activity. We know the emotion and thrill when an activity is peaking, we have been there.
We focus our photographic efforts (forgive the pun) in the three counties of San Diego, Riverside and Orange county. We have been known to travel throughout the western U.S. for special events or spectacular views but California is home.
